With the newsletter we inform you about us and our offers. If you wish to receive the newsletter, we need a valid e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the given e-mail address or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. In addition, we ask for your first name and last name for the personalization of our newsletter, this information is voluntary. No further data will be collected. This data will only be used for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. By registering for the newsletter, we save your IP address and the date of registration. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers for the newsletter reception without the knowledge of the entitled party. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can be made via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area or by notification to the above contact options.

Notes on newsletters and consents

With the following instructions we clarify the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, shipping and statistical evaluation procedure as well as your rights of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to the receipt and the procedures described.

Content of the newsletter

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter “Newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipients or a legal permission. If the contents of the newsletter are specifically described in the context of a registration, they are decisive for the consent of the users. For the rest, our newsletters contain information about our products and our company (this may include in particular references to blog posts, lectures or workshops, our services or online appearances).

Double opt-in and logging

The registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. I.e. You will receive an e-mail after registration asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can log in with foreign e-mail addresses. The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes storing the login and confirmation time, as well as the IP address.

Use of the shipping service provider “ActiveCampaign”

The newsletters are sent via Activecampaign, a newsletter delivery platform of the US provider ActiveCampaign, LLC, 150 N. Michigan Ave Suite 1230, Chicago, IL, US, USA.
The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in the context of this notice, are stored on the servers of ActiveCampaign in the USA. ActiveCampaign uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, ActiveCampaign may use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.B. for technical optimization of the shipping and presentation of the newsletters or for economic purposes, in order to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, ActiveCampaign does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write them themselves or pass on the data to third parties.
We rely on The Reliability and IT and Data Security of ActiveCampaign. ActiveCampaign is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield and is committed to complying with EU data protection requirements. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider in accordance with a contract for order processing in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. The ActiveCampaign Privacy Policy can be found here. In addition, ActiveCampaign protects our newsletter subscribers with a comprehensive anti-spam policy.

Credentials

To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address.

Statistical survey and analysis

The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file, which is retrieved from the ActiveCampaign server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are collected first. This information is used to improve the technical requirements of the Services on the basis of the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour on the basis of the polling locations (which can be determined by means of the IP address) or the access times.
Statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our intention, nor that of ActiveCampaign, to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Online access and data management

There are cases where we direct newsletter recipients to ActiveCampaign’s websites. i.e. our newsletters contain a link with which the newsletter recipients can access the newsletter online (i.e. in case of presentation problems in the e-mail program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can correct their data, such as e-mail address. Similarly, ActiveCampaign’s privacy policy is only available on its website.
In this context, we pointed out that cookies are used on the ActiveCampaign websites and that personal data is processed by ActiveCampaign, its partners and service providers (e..B. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. We would also like to draw your attention to the possibilities of objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and https://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area).

Cancellation/revocation

You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. At the same time, your consent to its dispatch via ActiveCampaign and the statistical analyses will be revoked at the same time. A separate revocation of the shipment via ActiveCampaign or the statistical evaluation is not possible. A link to cancel the newsletter can be found at the end of each newsletter.
